Big Eagle Lodge, a Choice Location on Eagle Lake.

The Staff:

We are a family run operation, small by some standards, but always striving to be big on hospitality. We have 9 cottages of various sizes to accommodate any size party.

The staff includes my husband John, my daughter Amy, my grandson, Chris, and me. We also have a dock person and a housekeeper. When you are our guest, the entire staff knows who you are. (Granted, you may be known by the cabin number to some of the staff, but at least they know where you belong.) Most of us will know you by name.

Our daughter, Amy, is the cook. She takes great pride in her cooking and especially the fact that everything is made from scratch. If you choose to have us provide your meals, she will find out your preferences and make sure some of your favorites are on the menu before your stay is completed.
She also works in the office and like most of us is a "Jack of All Trades"

The King of the “Jack of All Trades” is my husband, John. He takes care of everything; boats, motors, docks, water system, and the never-ending repairs and upkeep.

I oversee the cleaning and run the office and the lodge. You can be assured that the cabins are spotlessly clean. Let me know if anything is not right.
The cabins are fully furnished, including: stove and refrigerator, all dishes, utensils, pots & pans, coffee makers and toasters. Most cabins now have Microwaves. There are two single beds in each bedroom with sheets, blankets, and pillows. The bathrooms have shower, sink and commode. Towels are provided.

Our grandson, Christison (Chris) is the newest addition to our staff. Before his second birthday on October 9, 2004, he was already working at the lodge. His main job was as “Greeter.” There is nothing he likes more than making new friends. In 2005 his job was to fill the pop cooler, put the coffee cups away, and collect and haul away garbage bags. His biggest job was Grandpa’s helper. From 2006 to 2009 he did all of the above as well as running lots of errands and helping Grandma in the flower garden.

Amenities:

• We have electric power (at the dock also)
• All of the cabins are on the lake shore.
• Dock area is accessible by car, with room for parking if you have too much to carry or if someone has a hard time walking.
• Minnows are available at the dock. They will be recorded and added to your bill.
• Licenses, maps, ice, tackle, clothing, and some groceries are available at the lodge.
• Evening meals are available with advance notice.
• Laundry facilities are available. (Small fee)
• Propane and charcoal grills available. No Charge.
