Planning a fishing trip to Northwest Ontario?

Here are some hints you may find helpful:

First: Do I want a fly-in or a drive-in camp? Expect more service at a drive-in, less at a fly-in. Expect more people at a drive-in; less people at a fly-in.

Second decision is: What kind of plan and how many in my party?

All camps will need to know to give you a rate. The number of people will determine the size of cabin and the number of boats you will need

On the Housekeeping Plan, we provide the cabin and boats and you do your own cooking and cleaning up.

On the American Plan, we provide the cabin, boats, meals and maid service. We do the cooking and cleaning.

On the Cabin Only plan, we provide the cabin and you bring your own boat (you buy the gas for your boat.) You do your own cooking and cleaning up.

Next comes some harder decisions. What size lake suits my needs?

A small lake is easier to learn and you can fish the same spot all day and every day. This may be good if you are only coming for a few days. A larger lake offers more challenges and, of course, more fishing spots.

The last decision is: What date?

It is one of your most important decisions, as you only have so much vacation time. As a resort owner, dates only relate to weather and where the fish are on my lake. I can’t do anything about the weather, but I can tell you that our guests have had success during all times of the season.

All you have to do is ask when you check in and we can direct you to the latest hot spots. Camp owners know their lake or have someone on staff that fishes the lake every day.
It’s as simple as this to have a great vacation to a part of the world that was made for fishing.
