Slot size walleye (18 to 23 inches) are nice to take photos of and fun to catch. Every one of these since 1989 has been put back to spawn next year. This gives us a very healthy population of walleye in Eagle Lake. What a nice son! He baits the hook, takes off the fish, holds for photo, releases it, and yes, he even cooks shore lunch.
